The Embassy of Mexico has the pleasure to inform that the Call for Merit Scholarships of the Government of Mexico for Foreigners 2023, offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, is open and available in Spanish and English languages in the following link, where general information on conditions and requirements to obtain the scholarships, the list of institutions and academic programs, as well as the applications forms can be consulted:
Please note that all applications must be fulfilled electronically through the Academic Cooperation Management System (Sistema de Gestión de Cooperación Académica, SIGCA) (https://sigca.sre.gob.mx/login). The SIGCA system is open from 6:00 p.m. on May 15th until 3:00 p.m. on July 21st (Central Mexico time). For this purpose, it is necessary that the applicants attach the documentation in accordance with the indications of the system and with the provisions of the 2023 Call. That implies that the Embassy will not receive paper applications. The scholarships are offered only in the areas of knowledge and institutions expressly indicated in the 2023 Call. The results will be announced as of August 11th , 2023.
Depending on the budget availability of the Scholarship Program, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, AMEXCID) will be able to grant more than 300 scholarships distributed among all participating countries.
