So what’s the challenge…
The ERP Applications Engineer's role is to capture and translate the business needs to technical specifications, coordinate the internal or external resources for the delivery of the necessary solutions and monitor their performance of the assigned applications or systems enabling their maintenance, upgrade, and troubleshooting.


Your day to day will include:

  • Being up-to-date with market trends and technical solutions for the assigned area of responsibility (e.g. product systems, corporate applications etc.), proposing improvements and advancements
  • Clarifying and translating the business needs to technical specifications (SoW) and preparing business analysis artefacts, e.g. visualized data flow models, user stories, workflows etc., to ease their understanding and validation from all project stakeholders 
  • Cooperating with Technology stakeholders for defining the most suitable solutions, project scope and plan according to technology standards
  • Proactively recommending new features & improvements, to optimize and expand the use of platforms
  • Exploring the reuse / integration / upgrade / optimisation etc. of existing systems and applications for responding efficiently to business needs 
  • Notifying for any scope/quality risks (not covered functionality, unspecified SLAs etc.) within the project stream / documentation    
  • Acting as a liaison between Technology, business and vendors, providing clarifications, technical documentation and insight, enabling communication, resolution of issues and project sign-off 
  • Reviewing project deliverables in compliance with requirements, executing, coordinating and supporting testing cycles (in close collaboration with QA team) and reporting deviations and risks providing clarifications, insight and technical expertise
  • Designing and configuring small scale improvements, reports and integration points for existing systems or applications
  • Executing, assisting, or coordinating data migrations and reconciliation across connected systems
  • Upholding and promoting best practices & design guidelines for security and compliance 
  • Documenting and archiving BA artefacts, develops and updates user manuals and documentation and delivering end-user training
  • Monitoring the operational efficiency of assigned applications and operating systems, identifying potential risks and coordinates their escalation, maintenance and troubleshooting

 

What you need to succeed:

  • BSc in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent. MSc is relevant topic is desirable
  • 3+ years of experience in technical participation in development or maintenance of and back-office applications (such as financial, warehouse management systems, hrms or other).
  • Good knowledge of the technical requirements in the area of Corporate/ ERP applications e.g. SAP (SAP Business One, S/4 HANA), or other back- office ERP related applications 
  • Hands-on experience in business analysis methodologies and all phases of the software development lifecycle 
  • Acquaintance with software development lifecycle within Agile or any other methodology context
  • Experience in designing application integrations
  • Light script programming, SQL Knowledge, Database management like MS SQL Server, Oracle or other RDBMS
  • Experience in programming languages such as .ΝΕΤ C# is desired
  • CBAP/CCBA or PMI-PBA certifications desired
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills 
  • Innovative thinking and flexibility to changing requirements and priorities

  • Customer and business focus with a results oriented mentality
  • Good presentation and communication skills in both Greek and English languages
